Delete your account
Last updated: May 2026
Draft. This page is a structural placeholder. The final text must be reviewed by a Sri Lankan lawyer before launch — especially for PDPA, in-app account deletion, and refund obligations.
You can permanently delete your Kirk account at any time. There are two ways to do it.
From inside the app
- Open the Kirk app and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm with the OTP sent to your phone.
By email
If you no longer have access to the app, email privacy@kirkreservations.lk from the address on file, or send your registered phone number along with a proof-of-identity. We'll process the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email, and any optional profile details.
- Your booking history and arrival records.
- Your saved locations and preferences.
- Your authentication record (phone number).
What is retained
- Financial records required by Sri Lankan tax law (e.g. invoices for paid bookings) — these are retained for the period required by law, then deleted.
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics that no longer reference you.
Cannot be reversed
Deletion is permanent. Past bookings, history, and any in-app preferences will not be recoverable.
